"Fuck you, nature" -Man
Dec 31st, 2012quote
The idea of man vs nature is kind of a silly notion. Man was made by nature, and nature itself instigated the evolution of man and the law of survival of the fittest. Just because steel skyscrapers and smog aren't green and pretty doesn't mean they're any less natural than a bird's nest.

This. This reminds me of a comic where a human asks mother nature for forgiveness for all the things they put her through, then she just hugs him and is all like: "Eh. Just because the environment's changing to a state where YOU can't survive, doesn't mean that I won't survive.

Cry me a RIVER

also,t he difference between natural adn artificial is that yes, thsoe chemical reactions cocuring the plants are aprt of nature, but nature is not what is initiating the reaction, man (who is arrogant enough to separate himself from nature as a somehow free-existing entity of his natural ecosystem, i will agree with that part), man inititated those reactions, making them "artificial", skyscrapers cant grow in nature (well, technically they COULD, it would require modifying a fungus' DNA to start using higher concentrations of irons and other metals instead of ibrous tissue, and would require alot fo care in specialized environments, but it COUDL grow a skyscraper) and here i am competely forgetting where im going with this.

Nature wears lipstick.
Ergo lipstick is natural.
Science wears lipstic.
Ergo lipstick is science.

Guys, the way to fix everything just might actually be lipstick. Spread the word.

Frankly, the smog could hardly be considered against nature exclusively because it's hazardous for human health and leaves nasty crap all over our buildings.

The picture illustrates industry vs. nature. Industry is unaffected by smog. Humans are a part of nature.
